Its now hurricane and wildfire season. An item some folks do keep in their tack cupboard is a can of florescent paint. In the event of a hurricane or wildfire your going to use it to spray paint your CELL PHONE number on the side of your horse, this will make it easier for rescue personel to contact you if your horse is found. Leave a breakaway halter on your horse also (if you wish) with a pet tag on it with your name and cell phone number engraved on it. (Might want to spary you number on too in case your horse breaks the halter)
We always hate to think these events will happen to us, but being prepared for them is always a wise move.
